Knowing Me is Knowing you:

I saw a video which said, ‘If you really best friends, what would you find your friend arguing with a stranger on the street about.’ Of course this is very difficult, because I don’t randomly argue with strangers, but I thought it would be fun to ask my best friend. She replied, ‘Well, I don’t know but most likely the nails on the cross (Christianity).’ Her response, although was simple made me realise she knew me on a deeper level, I imagine this is how Jesus felt when Peter confirmed he was the Messiah after he asked the disciples who he was. Firstly, she understood that it’s not in my nature to argue with strangers. Secondly, it would have to be very important to me, and that can only be my faith. That’s when I realised, this girl knows me because of how extroverted I am, there are many possible answers, it was the moment I realised this truly is my best friend.

God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit:

Many people have heard a lot about Christianity and see a lot of different things about the faith, particularly on the news and social media. You see, you can know off but not know the person in depth, and a lot of Christians are even in the same position. Knowing Jesus is having a relationship with him, which like any comes through spending time and obeying his word, and his word never lies but reveals the trinity through the holy spirit. Imagine having a partner that only speaks to you once a week, or whenever they only feel like it. However, a lot of people want to label themselves Christian without even knowing the person they follow, which is why there is a lot of ‘God knows my heart’ with little action.

The bible verse ‘depart from me, I never knew you‘* always used to wake me up, because Jesus calls out people that do acts in his name, but their hearts are far from him. I remember when I had someone make a counterfeit page in my name, and my friends could tell automatically it was not me, based on the way they wrote. I completely understand Jesus, because all he cares about is a relationship with us, and to be known by the children he died for, so we could have true freedom and peace.

When you know Jesus you can experience him differently, you can fully trust his plan for you, then you can ‘taste and see that the lord is good,’ you experience his love in an amazing way. For me, once I did I believed that God actually cared for me, he wanted me to prosper and same for you. It took me a while to see God as a friend, because I had come from broken friendships, so I took steady steps. For some its hard to have a relationship with God the Father due to their own experiences, but allow him in your heart and watch your life transform.
